Backyard poultry inputs distribution and training program organized for flood affected farmers

In a concerted effort to aid the flood-affected farmers the teaching and non-teaching associations of Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana by providing financial assistance, organised a backyard poultry inputs distribution and one day training program under the aegis of Directorate of Extension Education, PAU, Ludhiana at village  Bhundar  Bhaini of District Sangrur. It was arranged by the PAU-Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Sangrur.
The programme was organized under the leadership of Dr. Mandeep Singh, Associate Director (Training), KVK Sangrur with coordination of Directorate of Extension Education, Vet Varsity.
The programme included the distribution of poultry chicks, feed and wire mesh net. Dr. Parteek Singh Dhaliwal guided the beneficiaries about the care and management of backyard poultry birds and also shared the marketing tips under backyard system of poultry farming.
In the concluding remarks Dr. Mandeep Singh underscored the importance of leveraging the farmer friendly resources and technologies available at Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Sangrur. Dr. Singh expressed his gratitude to the both Teaching association and Non-Teaching association and all the participants for making the program a success.
