About the Placement Cell
There is a centralized Placement Cell at the University level headed by the University Placement Officer working under the administrative control of the Director, Human Resource Management Centre of the University. Placement Cell office is located in the Small Animal Clinical Complex building (Ground Floor). The main objective of the Placement Cell is to facilitate the coordination between graduating students from various academic programs of the university and the potential employers/ recruitment agencies. For better coordination, we have college-wise Placement Coordinators/ In charge to look after the placement activities of their respective colleges.

Objectives
The placement cell of the University acts as a liaison unit between the interests of the students and the recruiting agencies. The role of placement cell starts as early as organizing the resume of the students and providing the technical guidance according to their interest and talent of the student to choose the area of work. The veterinary college of University has international reputation and the students of this college have carved out a niche for themselves in India and abroad.
The main objectives of the Placement Cell include:
- To prepare a college-wise yearly database of graduating students eligible for Campus placement.
- To prepare a domain-wise database of the prospective recruiters, including industries and different organizations.
- To act as a liaison unit for plugging the gap between industry and fresh professionals to speed up the process of recruitment.
- To organize informative seminars to make the students aware of the opportunities abroad and preparation for the qualifying examinations.
- To develop linkages between different Veterinary pharmaceuticals/stud farms/ Banks/ Insurance firms/ feed, Dairy and Food processing industries, etc.
- To organize the campus interviews for the recruitment of the graduates and postgraduate students of the university.
- To provide guidance to students for skill improvement by organizing training for personality development, communication skills, mock group discussions, etc., as well as training for competitive examinations.
- To provide guidance to graduating students for self-employment, including setting up pet clinics/poultry/ livestock farms/milk or meat or animal feed processing units
