Fish Engineering
The Department of Fish Engineering, recently created in 2021, will be imparting quality education and training in various engineering aspects related to aquaculture i.e., layout designing and construction of different type of aquaculture systems (ponds, tanks, aquaponics, RAS, biofloc aquaculture systems etc.), hatcheries and various farm implements/infrastructure (feed mill, aerators, feeders, poly-houses, solar systems, filters pumps, processing equipment, thermal regulation etc.). Further, another major objective of the said department will be to implement IT and IOT in aquaculture for real time monitoring for developing climate smart technologies.

- First Prize awarded by Fisheries Department, Haryana for ranking first in the quiz contest held on the occasion of 19th Fish Farmer’s Day on 11.04.2007 at Ambala.
- University Merit Scholarship (M.F.Sc.) for the year 2008-2010 awarded by GADVASU, Ludhiana for securing highest OGPA in the department.
- Young Scientist Award by International Multidisciplinary Research Foundation during the International Conference on Recent Trends in Agriculture, Veterinary and Life Sciences 2019 held at New Delhi during July 29-30, 2019.
