Hostels

The university hostels provide a friendly environment and comfortable home away from home. They have beautiful landscape with green lawns and are Zero-Ragging Zone. The hostels have well-ventilated buildings and the rooms are spacious and well-furnished with all the modern amenities for comfortable living of the students.

Boys Hostels

The Boys Hostels are located near the Para Clinical Block, College of Veterinary Science, within the campus of the university. The Boys’ Hostel Complex consists of three major blocks (Hostel No. 3, Hostel No. 8 and PG block) and one minor block (Hostel no. 9). Dormitory as well as cubicle rooms are available in different blocks with shared bathrooms and the hostels have capacity to accommodate more than 550 students. The Postgraduate/ NRI Block of the hostel is equipped with Air-Conditioners in 48 cubicle rooms.

Facilities

• There are two mess and two canteens to provide meals and refreshment to the resident students.
• The resident students have access to clean drinking water through RO water purifiers and water coolers
• The bathrooms have electric geysers to provide hot running water during winters. 
• For the recreation of the students, there are two gymnasiums and two TV rooms.
• The hostels also have sports facilities for badminton, volleyball and basketball.
• The hostels are provided with hotline and gensets to ensure adequate power supply.
• The CCTV cameras are installed for surveillance and security.
• The security guards keep a constant vigil at the gates of the hostels.
• The hostel has a Wi-Fi connection for internet connectivity.
• Parking is available for two wheelers owned by the resident students.

Girls Hostel

The Girls Hostel has three beautiful buildings comprising PG and UG Block with a total residential capacity of 392 students. The PG block is a four-storey building with exclusively single-seated accommodation for the PG and PhD students. The newly added fourth floor has fully air conditioned single-seater rooms. The UG block has two double storey buildings and has rooms which are double, triple-seater as well as dormitory for the UG students. Each room is provided with a box bed, study table, chair and cupboard.

Facilities

• Wi-Fi facilities are available in the hostel campus.
• Each floor of the hostel is installed with water coolers with RO systems, geysers, fully automatic washing machine, refrigerator and microwave oven.
• The hostel has a mess facility where the boarders can enjoy quality and hygienic food. The mess menus are charted as per the choice of the boarders through the mess committee.
• The hostel has a fully air-conditioned common room with television facility.
• The hostel also has the provision of well-equipped gym as well as indoor and outdoor game facilities.
• The hostel has a parking shed for parking of vehicles by the boarders.
• The hostel has a high-capacity generator for continuous power supply.
• The hostel has a canteen for snacks and essential commodities.
• The hostel has 24×7 duty of female attendants for the convenience of the girl students.
• The hostel is provided with 24-hour security guards at the hostel gate.
• A security vehicle is provided for transportation facilities for boarders during any medical emergencies.

NRI Girls’ Hostel

The university has a separate hostel for NRI Girls’ students. The hostel has 24 AC single occupancy rooms with an attached washroom. There is an attached mess in the hostel along with the dining hall to provide fresh and hygienic food to the students. Other facilities like clean drinking water, washing machines, microwave, coffee machine, etc. are also there for the use of students. There is a separate common room for students where they can study or watch TV. Free internet is also provided in the hostel. The concerned and highly experienced staff looks after the university hostel and ensures that the hostel remains secure and responsive all the time.
