College Library

College Library is central to the academic and research activities of the College and is playing a fundamental role in enhancing learning experience of its readers. College Library is fully automated of its operations using KOHA library management software and is providing the best of reading materials and services to its users. 

Services of the College Library:

• Library Membership: Students and faculty of the college can become members of the College Library and avail library services.  
• Reading Hall: Library has a big reading hall with a seating capacity of 150 users. (including an air-conditioned section with a seating capacity of 60 users). The reading hall has optimum lighting and ventilation for the comfort of readers. 

• Furniture: Library has sufficient furniture to accommodate its users. The furniture is comfortable, cozy and as per the library standards.
• Book Collection: Library has a collection of about  1700 books related to various subjects of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry. Some general books and competition related books are also available in the library. Library is taking necessary steps to strengthen its book collection. 

• Periodicals: Library subscribes to following newspapers (The Tribune, The Hindu, Dainik Bhaskar, Jagbani) and magazines (India Today, Frontline, Competition Success Review, Readers' Digest, Sport Star, Women's Era, Preet Larri, Indian Dairyman, Vigyanak Pashupalan). 

• Computer facility: Library has a separate section, where computers are deployed for its users. Users can use the computers for academic purpose.

• Internet facility: The computers deployed in the library are equipped with internet connectivity. Students can navigate the high-speed Internet to support their studies and enhance their knowledge.
• Wi-Fi facility: The College Library is wi-fi enabled. This service is provided to the users free-of-cost.
• Digital Resources: Library provides access to the following digital resources of the University through VPN:Consortium for e-Resources in Agriculture (CeRA), Online Books, Krishikosh, Indiastat Agri, Digital Repository of the University.
• Online Public Access Catalogue Kiosk: College Library has developed a kiosk, specially dedicated for Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) of the library. Users can search books of the library by entering author name, title, keyword, etc. and filter the results by applying Boolean operators and year of publication as per their information needs. • Lending service: Library members shall be permitted to borrow books from the library as per the following details: 

• Photostat service: Photostat service is also available to the users on payment basis.

General Rules of College Library

• Member should carry his/her library card for library usage.The member will produce his/her library card at the time of borrowing books.
• The member is responsible for all the books issued on his/her library card.
• Before borrowing, member should ensure that the book is in good condition and no page is missing.
• Sub lending of books is not allowed.
• Overdue charges as applicable shall be charged from members.
• The Librarian is empowered to recall any book at any time.
• The Library staff on duty is authorized to search any person on entry and exit of the Library.
• Theft and mutilation of the library material, damaging or defacing of the library property is punishable under rules.
• Smoking, making noise, spitting, use of mobile or doing anything else which may disturb other readers or may be against the discipline of the University is strictly prohibited.
