Veterinary and Animal Husbandry Extension Education

The department of Veterinary and Animal Husbandry Extension Education was setup in the year 2021 i.e. 2 years after establishment of the college. It targets to impart knowledge and skills to the students, farmers and other stakeholders. The department is actively involved in transferring technologies of the college and university to the grass root level farmers for their socio-economic upliftment and nutritional security.

  • ICAR funded AICRP on Goat Improvement-Beetal field unit (Co- Investigator)
  • “Technological interventions for development of sustainable Kajali sheep production model vis-à-vis prevailing intensive wheat-paddy cropping system of Punjab” under National Livestock Mission of MoFAHD, Govt. of India (Co-Investigator)
  • Veterinary and Animal Husbandry Extension Education

    • Improvement in productive and reproductive performance of Sahiwal herd at Kaljharani, and dissemination of improved germplasm to the farmers
    • Documentation of performance of Beetal goats in the field and socio-economic empowerment of goat farmers
    • Establishment of stall-fed Kajali sheep unit in integration with paddy production
