Veterinary Medicine
The department is actively engaged in the undergraduate and diploma teaching and extension activities. The department provides specialized diagnostic services including Ultrasonography, E.C.G, Ophthalmoscopy and Otoscopy. The department caters health and critical care services to livestock as well as pet animals. In addition department also provides blood transfusion facility for small animals like dog and cats and large animals like cattle and buffalo.
Mandates of the department
1) Teaching B.V.Sc and A.H students and D.V.Sc & A.H.T students
2) Clinical services including diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disease for all species of farm, companion, exotic and wild animals
3) Extension education to farmers by participating in animal welfare cum farmers/owners awareness camps.
