Veterinary Public Health and Epidemiology
Department of Veterinary Public Health and Epidemiology at College of Veterinary Science, Rampura Phul is established in 2021. The department has the mandate of teaching, research and extension activities in the field of Veterinary Public Health and Epidemiology. Currently, the department offers various courses of Veterinary Public Health and Epidemiology to BVSc & AH students and Diploma students. The department has all the facilities for routine research activities including Biosafety Cabinet Type 2, ELISA reader and Spectrophotometer. The department provides the diagnostic facilities for diagnosis of brucellosis to the farmers. The department conducts extension camps regularly for dissemination of knowledge on zoonoses to the farmers. In schools, numerous awareness camps on rabies and its prevention have been conducted.

- The Department has the facilities for isolation of bacterial pathogens, Biosafety cabinet type 2 (A2), ELISA reader for serological diagnosis and enzyme kinetic studies, UV and visible range spectrophotometer for quantitative estimation of chemicals along with other routinely required equipment's such as vortex shaker, magnetic stirrer etc.
- The department also has facilities for bacteriological examination of water. The samples are regularly tested for brucellosis in the department
